Susan D. Carver has been the director of two student success programs, The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation and Operation STEM, at Cleveland State University since March 2013. Both programs provide identical student support services to enable minority and/or first-generation students successful completion of their Precalculus to Calculus II math sequence which in turns assists them to continue the pursuit of the STEM degree. Dr. Carver earned a PhD in Educational Administration, as well as a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. She has received national recognition for her creative leadership, winning the Rutgers University Women in Government Award and she was honored by the United States Conference of Mayors for excellence in the development and implementation of educational and diversity programming.
