Communications Task Force

The Communications Task Force facilitates communication across the alliance. It is made up of the site program coordinators, as well as members of the faculty and staff of partner institutions who are interested in developing materials that can be shared online.

Communication Plan

The communication plan provides a framework to manage and coordinate the wide variety of communications that take place in carrying out the objectives of The Ohio LSAMP Alliance. It covers who will receive the communications, how the communications will be delivered, what information will be communicated, who communicates, and the frequency of the communications. The outcome is better communications and dissemination of information among partner institutions of The Ohio LSAMP Alliance.

Alliance Website

The website will be used to promote alliance activities, disseminate best practices, share scholar highlights, and publicize research, graduate, and career opportunities.

Production of Online Materials

The online sharing of courses, workshops, videos, presentation materials, and other resources can reduce duplication of effort while providing for collaboration among institutions. To this end, the Communications Task Force will continue to investigate the use of massive open online courses (MOOC), use of YouTube or iTunes University to record and post videos of partner activities and posting of other materials or links to the website or other online locations accessible to alliance stakeholders.

The major activities of the Communications Task Force are

  • Development and implementation of a communication plan for alliance-wide communications
  • Working with a web development company to create and maintain the website for The Ohio LSAMP Alliance
  • Production of online materials
